Techiman: Mr. Foster Wumbei Jagri, the Bono East Regional Operations Manager of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), has called on unemployed youth in the region to explore job opportunities available at the YEA office. He emphasized that the agency's models are tailored to create employment opportunities, assuring young people that those who utilize these models can secure decent jobs and improve their socio-economic conditions.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Jagri highlighted the availability of opportunities for youth interested in sectors such as employable skills training, agriculture, forestry, and sanitation. He mentioned that the agency has recently launched the 'Job Abroad' model, which recruits and exports youth with employable skills to work overseas.
Mr. Jagri also noted that the agency has successfully recruited and trained the first batch of personnel for the police, National Ambulance Emergency Unit, and Fire Assistants, who will soon be stationed at their respective posts. He reaffirmed the YEA's commitment to fulfilling its mission of creating job opportunities and encouraged unemployed youth to take advantage of the agency's models.
He further stated that the agency plans to introduce additional models to provide more employment opportunities, aiming to address the national unemployment issue and enable young people to contribute to national development.
