The broadcasting equipment of Nessma TV and Radio Quran were seized on Wednesday morning, member of the independent High Authority for Audiovisual Communication (HAICA) Hichem Senoussi said.

The recording studios of the two media outlets were also put under seal in implementation of HAICA’s decision to seize the equipment of 4 “illegal” media outlets “broadcasting their programmes without an authorisation,” he added.

These media outlets are Nessma TV, Zitouna TV, Hannibal TV and Radio Quran, he specified.

Senoussi further indicated that the HAICA team backed by security forces conducted the operation and provisions are underway to implement the decision to seize Hannibal TV broadcasting equipment.
