Tunis: A cabinet meeting held on Tuesday at the Government Palace in the Kasbah, chaired by Prime Minister Kamel Madouri, focused on measures and proposals to speed up public project completion and encourage private investment, according to a statement from the Prime Ministry. According to Agence Tunis Afrique Presse, the Cabinet approved several measures aimed at resolving issues by adopting optimal methods and practices that would preserve the national institutional fabric and the competitiveness of economic actors. Additionally, a package of practical measures was approved to overcome procedural, technical, and real estate difficulties to accelerate the completion of public and private projects, reduce the burden on economic operators, and stimulate investment. The Cabinet also endorsed a comprehensive approach to enhance the management of foreign funds for public projects. At the meeting's outset, the Prime Minister emphasized the significance of bolstering public investment dynamics and stimulating pri vate sector investment as crucial levers for reviving the national economy. This effort aligns with ongoing government initiatives to implement the President of the Republic's recommendations on simplifying and digitalizing procedures and revising the regulatory framework related to public procurement in accordance with efficiency, feasibility, transparency, and competition principles. The Prime Minister highlighted the need to improve governance and efficiency in institutional performance related to investment, aiming to accelerate project completion and address obstacles that hinder timely implementation. He emphasized the importance of a unified effort by all public structures to move away from traditional sectoral approaches, develop new methodologies and solutions to overcome procedural and technical challenges, and prepare a comprehensive legal framework to stimulate economic initiatives and create an attractive business environment.
