Cabinet meeting approves draft laws and government decrees

The Cabinet meeting held in virtual format on Monday approved bills and government decrees, including a draft statute approving the accession of the Tunisian Republic to the Protocol on the permanent amendment of the WTO Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS), adopted in Geneva on December 6, 2005.
The Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Hichem Mechichi, also approved, government decrees, including the draft government decree on setting conditions of emission and refunding of the bond issue for the year 2021.
It also approved a government decree on defining the organisational structure of the General Authority of Insurances (French: IGA) and a draft government decree on requisition of some employees of the Civil Aviation and Airport Authority (OACA).
Among the draft government decrees also approved at this meeting, one regulating the administrative and financial organisation and operating procedures of the Centre for Telecommunications Studies and Research, and a draft decree on the amendment too Government Decree No. 324 of 2018 of March 29, 2018, on the establishment of the rules of organisation and management of the endowment line for the support and recovery of small and medium enterprises, as well as the terms and conditions of its intervention.
The meeting also approved a draft government decree amending government decree No. 496 of 2019 of May 28, 2019 on expropriation for public interest, of land parcels in the delegations of Zarzouna and Menzel Abderrahmane, in the governorate of Bizerte for the construction of a permanent link between the A4 highway and the city of Bizerte (first part).
A draft government decree amending the government decree No. 358 of 2019 of April 17, 2019, on the expropriation for the public interest of land parcels located in the delegations of Mohamedia and Mornag in Ben Arous, for the realisation of the project to connect the highway to the governorates of Kairouan, Sidi Bouzid, Kasserine and Gafsa was also approved.
The meeting also adopted a government decree amending government decree No. 876 of 2017 of July 31, 2017 on expropriation for public interest of land parcels, located in the delegation of M’saken, governorate of Sousse, to repair the national road No. 12.
It also approved a draft government decree on the amendment of Government Decree No. 781 of 2002 of April 11, 2002, on the expropriation of land parcels located in Njajra in the delegation of M’saken, governorate of Sousse, for the expansion of the train station of M’saken.
In the same context, the Cabinet approved a draft government decree on the expropriation for the public interest of land parcels located in the governorate of Ariana for the completion of the bypass “X20” linking the regional road No. 31 and the western exit of the capital from point 0 to point 15.5 kilometer (first tranche).
It also adopted two other draft government decrees on the appointment of the President of the National Council for Social Dialogue and a draft government decree relating to the regulation of the organisational structure of the Loans and Support Fund for Local Authorities.
In the media field, a draft government decree on the creation of a subsidiary radio to the Tunisian Radio “Radio Panorama” was adopted.
The cabinet also approved
A draft government decree on the appointment of Imed Ben Taleb, President of the National Anti-Corruption Authority (INLUCC) and a draft government decree ending the appointment of Imed Boukhris as head of that authority were also adopted.
