CAF Awards 2024: Dreams FC Earns Nomination for Club of the Year

ACCRA: Ghana's Dreams FC has been nominated for the Club of the Year at the upcoming Confederation of African Football (CAF) Awards, a testament to their impressive performance over the past year. The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place in Marrakech, Morocco, on December 16, 2024. According to Ghana News Agency, the nomination list, released by CAF, includes prominent clubs such as TP Mazembe, Al Ahly, RS Berkane, Mamelodi Sundowns, Young Africans, Simba, Esperance, Petro Atletico, and Zamalek. Dreams FC's inclusion in this list follows their successful run in the 2023-24 CAF Confederations Cup, where they reached the semi-finals before being ousted by Egyptian giants Zamalek. Dreams FC's achievements in the Confederations Cup have not only secured them a nomination for Club of the Year but also spotlighted their players on the continental stage. John Antwi and Abdul Aziz Issah, two standout performers from the club, have been nominated for the Men's Interclub Player of the Year. Additionally, Aziz I ssah's exceptional talent has earned him a nomination for the Young Player of the Year award, further garnering international attention as he recently signed with Barcelona FC. The nomination for Dreams FC is a significant milestone for Ghanaian football, reflecting the club's growth and success in regional competitions.
