CAF Confederation Cup (Gr A/Day 2): CS Sfaxien concede defeat to Al Ahli of Tripoli (1-2)

Club Sportif Sfaxien conceded defeat to their Libyan hosts Al Ahli of Tripoli 1-2 at a CAF Confederation Cup Group A day-2 game played on Sunday evening in Benghazi.

Chedi Hammami by an own goal in the 6th minute and Salah Taher in the 52nd scored for the Libyan side, before Aymen Harzi reduced the score for CS Sfaxien in the 86th on penalty.

In the other match of the group, Egypt’s Pyramids defeated Zambia’s Zanako 2-0.

At the end of this 2nd day, Al Ahli of Tripoli join CSS in 2nd place with three points behind Pyramids (6 points). Zanako are fourth with zero points.

On the third day, scheduled for next weekend, CSS will travel to Cairo to face Pyramids, while Al Ahli of Tripoli will host Zanako.

Top two finishers in the group will qualify for the quarterfinals.
