Caid Essebsi lands in Abidjan for AU-EU Summit

President of the Republic Beji CaA�d Essebsi arrived on Tuesday afternoon in Ivory Coast’s capital Abidjan where he will attend the 5th African Union – European Union (AU-EU) Summit, at the invitation of President Alassane Ouattara and Chairperson of the African Union Commission Moussa Faki Mahamat.

The Head of State was seen in at Abidjan airport by President Ouattara.

This summit will see the participation of 83 heads of state and government and representatives of national, regional and international organisations.

The two-day event, which brings together African and European leaders, will debate a range of issues including immigration, investment in youth, security, counter-terrorism efforts and Europe-Africa partnership.
