Caid Essebsi leaves for Jordan to take part in 28th Arab Summit

President Beji Caid Essebsi left Tuesday afternoon for Jordan, to take part in works of the 28th Arab Summit, due March 29 in Jordan.

The Head of State will deliver a speech focusing notably on the Tunisian approach to Arab issues and mechanisms that will help promote joint Arab action, on the Tunisian initiative to solve the crisis in Libya and the anti-terrorist fight, said Minister Delegate to the Presidency of the Republic Abdelkarim Elhirmi to TAP.

The President of the Republic will have talks on the fringes of the summit with several Arab leaders, including King of Jordan and President of the summit Abdullah II, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sissi, Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul-Gheit, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and several representatives of regional and international organisations, Elhimri pointed out.

Beji Caid Essebsi was seen off at the Tunis-Carthage international airport by Prime Minister Youssef Chahed and government members.
