Call for transnational research projects on supporting biodiversity

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research said the European Biodiversity Partnership: Biodiversa+ (which succeeds BiodivERsA) launched its first call for transnational research projects on the theme: “Supporting Research for the Protection of Biodiversity and Ecosystems across Land and Sea.”

The ministry said this call for projects is aimed to finance transnational research projects running over three years and support research on the following three non-exclusive themes.

The first is knowledge for identifying priority conservation areas, establishing effective and resilient ecological networks and enhancing species-based protection and preserving genetic diversity,

Multiple benefits and costs of biodiversity and ecosystem protection: synergies and trade-offs is the second theme, while the third is effective management and equitable governance to deliver bold conservation outcomes.

Research teams will be invited to form transnational research consortia with eligible partners from minimum 3 countries participating in the call (including minimum two from EU Member States or EU Associated Countries).
