Campaign to support Organic Bill on elimination of violence against women (UNFT)

The National Union of Tunisian Women (UNFT) is organising a campaign to support the draft Organic Law on the elimination of violence against women on Tuesday, July 04, 2017, under the motto

“Never again silence law protects me “.

According to a UNFT statement, the campaign will be launched with the organisation of an open day to kick off the activities held in Tunis, Sfax, Medenine, Kairouan, Gafsa and Jendouba governorates. A press conference is also scheduled to present the support the campaign in addition to the screening of a documentary film entitled “No to Violence”.

In the same context, a monitoring unit will be set up to monitor the discussions within the House of People’s Representatives (HPR) for the adoption of the Organic Law on the elimination of violence against women, the statement said.

This campaign is organised as part of the joint programme set up by the Ministry of Woman, Family and Children in collaboration with the European Union and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
