Cannes Festival/Arab Critics Awards: Tunisian Meriem Ferjani wins Best Actress Award

Tunisian actress Meriem Ferjani won the Best Actress Award of the second edition of the annual Arab Critics Awards, for her role in Kaouther Ben Henia’s feature film “Beauty and the Dogs”.

This award was attributed to her by the Arab Cinema Centre on the fringes of the 71st Cannes Festival.

This edition saw the participation of some 62 critics to evaluate 21 Arab films from Tunisia, Algeria, Palestine, Syria, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Iraq, Morocco and Egypt.
