A cell indoctrinating and recruiting women via social media for terrorist organisation Daesh was dimantled in a joint operation by the National Guard anti-terrorism directorate and the Agency for Intelligence and Security for Defence .

The cell, operating between the governorates of Kef and Tozeur, has ties with members of terrorist group Jund al-Khilafah who are holed up in Tunisian mountains, the Directorate- General of the National Guard said on Thursday.

The public prosecutor at the Judicial Counter-Terrorism Division issued committal warrants against members of the cell.
