Certificate award Ceremony for 72 young people who benefited from occupational retraining

The Centre for Orientation and Professional Retraining (CORP), in partnership with the Tunisian-German Information Centre for Employment, Migration and Reintegration organised Thursday, a certificate award ceremony for the benefit of 72 young people having benefited from a professional retraining allowing them to invest in a company.

According to Director of CORP, Youssef Fennira, reconversion actions have affected the professions of Community Manager, Technician in Maintenance of Automated Systems, Commercial and Web Developer.

Among these 72 young higher education graduates, 52 have been placed in the labour market.

Secretary of State for Vocational Training and Private Initiative, Saida Ounissi said that 40% of young participants in these training sessions get a job, stressing the need to support such initiatives.

The Secretary of State for Youth, Abdelkoddous Saadaoui announced, in this context, his department’s will to create spaces that are a link between young people, employment offices and different structures of the employment and vocational training.

This ceremony comes one month after the holding of the second edition of the CORP Tour that targeted 9 governorates and reached more than 3,000 students and job seekers.

This close and fruitful collaboration brings together the Tunisian-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK Tunisia), the Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ in Tunisia), the Ministry of Information Technologies and Communications through the programme SMART TUNISIA and the Ministry of Vocational Training and Employment.

Since the launch of the CORP in 2015, no less than 203 candidates have undergone professional retraining, including 185 have been placed in companies.

CORP works through all its services to equip job seekers to improve their employability and is constantly working to match the profile of the candidate with the expectations of companies. CORP responds to a real and priority need to support job seekers and businesses alike so that they can face the challenges of the job market more calmly.
