Chahed pays visit to Kairouan wholesale market

Prime Minister Youssef Chahed paid a visit Wednesday at dawn to the Kairouan wholesale market where he enquired about the prices of agricultural products.

The visit is part of efforts to counter speculation and price increases.

On this occasion, Chahed listened to the consumers’ concerns and difficulties facing merchants and wholesalers.

The PM had arrived in kairouan on Tuesday afternoon as part of an unannounced visit during which he visited the Mounsoura Pilot School to inspect the pupils’ accommodation conditions, before visiting the school canteen where he discussed with the pupils the meals served to them.
