Minister of the Interior Taoufik Charfeddine held a telephone conversation on Friday with his French counterpart Gerald Darmanin.
The conversation allowed to return to “the strong ties that bind Tunisia and France” and “prospects for security cooperation between the two countries,” said a statement from the Ministry of Interior.
Darmanin had recently announced the decision of Paris to reduce by 30% the number of visas issued to Tunisians as well as Algerians and Moroccans, a decision explained by “the will to force these three Maghreb countries to recover their nationals when France expels them.”
