Chief Urges Young Women to Focus on Future Goals Rather Than Pre-Marital Relationships

Nsoatre: Nana Obeng Effah Kokodrufuor II, the Krontrihene of the Nsoatre Traditional Area in the Bono Region, has advised young women to steer clear of pre-marital sexual activities and focus on building their future. He emphasized the importance of not allowing men to exploit them for as little as GHC20 and cautioned against being deceived by their current beauty and physical appearances.

According to Ghana News Agency, Nana Kokodrufuor highlighted that beauty is transient and what remains valuable is how young women choose to utilize their bodies and lives. He urged them to avoid unhealthy sexual behaviors that could jeopardize their future prospects. In an interview, he acknowledged the various challenges faced by young women but insisted that these should not justify engaging in immoral acts.

The chief further encouraged young women to pursue employable skills training that would open up job opportunities and improve their socio-economic status. He expressed a willingness to support those interested by providing apprenticeships and work tools, although he noted the reluctance of many young women to learn new skills.

Nana Kokodrufuor also pointed out the detrimental effects of early pregnancy on personal lives, families, and society at large. Additionally, he condemned the rising trend of substance abuse among the youth and called for collective and decisive action to address this issue.
