Chinese investments expected in Zarzis economic centre project

Minister of State Property and Land Affairs Mabrouk Korchid met on Thursday with a delegation of Chinese businessmen seeking to invest in Tunisia.

He expressed during this meeting the National Unity Government’s willingness to strengthen Tunisian-Chinese co-operation and establish a win-win partnership in several fields.

The ministry is willing to provide the necessary expertise for the implementation of some investment projects the Chinese side is planning to achieve, he added.

It is worth noting that the Chinese delegations had previously conducted an inspection visit to the Zarzis 1,000-hectare economic centre. In fact, the Chinese investors can play a key role at the level of funding for the development of this major project.
