Churches Urged to Educate Youth on Sex and Marriage, Says Religious Leader

ACCRA: Apostle Dr. Kadmiel E.H. Agbalenyo, the Founder and Leader of the Seventh Day Theocratic World Congregation, has urged churches to educate youth on sexual and marital matters to prevent fornication. Highlighting the natural changes that occur in adolescents, particularly after menstruation, he emphasized the need for guidance to avoid leading young people into behaviors like fornication and prostitution. According to Ghana News Agency, Apostle Dr. Agbalenyo made these remarks during an interview at a two-week training session for the youth of his church on marriage, held in Otiakrom-Shallom, near Aburi in the Eastern Region. He stressed that the Creator designed humans to marry for procreation, citing biblical references, and warned against young adults becoming involved in fornication and adultery. The Apostle emphasized the role of churches and parents in educating young people about marriage and pre-marital sex, suggesting that such guidance could help them avoid societal embarrassment and manage their future families effectively. He also pointed out the challenges posed by social media, which he claims is filled with immoral activities that distract youth from moral and industrial pursuits. Apostle Dr. Agbalenyo further noted the importance of parents discussing the pros and cons of human sexuality with their children, helping them navigate the complexities of modern media influences. He concluded by advising parents against encouraging their children to marry individuals who lack industriousness, aligning with the biblical notion that married couples should support each other's efforts.
