“Citizen Choir, Claim Songs,” April 29 at Kasbah square

The Art Street Association and the Rosa Luxemburg Siftung Foundation are organising an artistic performance on the project “Citizen Choir, Claim Songs” on April 29 at the Kasba square, Tunis Medina.

The “Citizen Choir” is a committed artistic performance based on claim songs written and chanted by Tunisian citizens. It is part of the international project “The Choir Project” born in 2010 in Egypt.

After various experiences in Egypt, Germany, Austria, Turkey, Switzerland and Hungary, “The Choir Project” consists, from a call for participation, in federating about thirty citizens around workshops of writing and voicing of written texts with a view to inviting people from all walks of life to express their hopes, feelings and frustrations through a citizen song.
