(TAP) – A portal for consular services was launched by the Ministry of Communication Technologies, as part of the implementation of the national strategy of degitalisation and development of e-governance, the ministry announced Friday.
This portal will allow civil servants posted to Tunisian representations abroad to have secure remote access to the civil register, thanks to the national interconnection system, the department said in a press release.
The portal was launched Thursday during a ceremony chaired by Communication Technologies Minister Nizar Ben Neji and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary and Representative of Tunisia to Romania Raja Jhinaoui Ben Ali.
The goal is to contribute to facilitating and speeding up the administrative services offered to Tunisians living abroad.
The platform was developed by the National Informatics Centre (CNI) thanks to coordination between the Ministries of ICT, of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad and of the Interior Affairs.
