The vaccination campaign in the governorates of Jendouba, Kairouan, Siliana and Kebili continued at a steady pace. The military teams have, in fact, ensured that over 13 thousand vaccines were administered on Wednesday alone, said the Ministry of National Defence.

The citizens who benefited from the vaccination, Wednesday, are distributed as follows: 2,106 in Jendouba, 4,817 in Kairouan, 1,049 in Siliana and 4,914 in Kebili, said Thursday, a statement of the Ministry.

The Ministry of Defence reported close coordination between the various local and regional stakeholders, noting the interaction of citizens with permanent and mobile medical teams.

The Directorate General of Military Health hopes to vaccinate 70,000 people in these governorates, according to a schedule established for this purpose, targeting remote areas.

The military teams will work, in parallel, to raise awareness among citizens of the importance of vaccination to protect themselves against COVID-19, the same source said.
