People over 75 years of age have started receiving text message invites since Monday, informing them of the date, time and vaccination centre where they will receive the 3rd dose of the coronavirus vaccine.

The 3rd dose of the vaccine will be administered, initially, to people over 75 years of age, pending the generalisation of this shot to the other elderly and chronically ill people,” stated advisor to the Health Minister Ines Ayadi to TAP.

Ayadi pointed out that the people in question will receive the same type of vaccine administered in the first two doses or another vaccine that is appropriate for their health condition.

She underlined the need not to miss the vaccination appointment to boost one’s immunity and protect oneself against severe forms in case of infection.
