The Ministry of Health said Sunday 47,266 COVID-19 vaccines were administered on August 21, bringing the total number of jabs given since the launch of the national campaign last March to 4,940,117.

Among these, 3,552,898 were first shots and 1,387,219 second doses, the ministry added in its daily report on the progress of the national vaccination campaign.

It also said 1,982,875 people have been fully vaccinated until August 21, with 1,387,219 people administered two shots and 308,600 vaccinated with single-shot “Janssen», while 287,056 people who previously contracted the virus were vaccinated with a single dose.

On the other hand, the Ministry said the number of people registered on evax has reached 5,368,843 registered as of August 21.
