The governorate of Beja saw one more death from coronavirus on Tuesday, taking overall fatality numbers from the virus to 261.
98 COVID-19 cases were also detected in the governorate in the last 24 hours. This takes total cases in the region to 8876, since the spread of the pandemic, according to data from the local health directorate.
The new infection cases are distributed as follows: 73 cases in Beja, 2 cases in Nefza, 1 case in Amdoun, 19 cases in Testour and 3 cases in Medjez El Bab.
The same source said the rate of recoveries from the virus in the region has risen to 82.59% to 7331, though all the delegations of the governorate of Beja are experiencing a “very high” warning rate, with averages exceeding 100 infections per 100 thousand inhabitants.
