The governorate of Sidi Bouzid recorded 5 more COVID-19 cases, taking overall infections in the region to 29,605, since the spread of the pandemic.

The new cases are distributed as follows: 3 cases in Sidi Bouzid West and 2 cases in Sidi Ali Ben Aoun, deputy director of primary health care Béchir Saidi told TAP Tuesday.

In addition, 18 patients have recovered from the infection, bringing total recoveries in the region to 29476.

The number of COVID patients currently placed in hospitals in the region is 21, according to the same source.
