Four deaths from COVID-19 have been reported in the last 48 hours in the governorate if Nabeul, the local health directorate announced Tuesday. This brings overall fatality numbers in the region to 1,580 people, since the emergence of the virus.

In a statement to TAP, the director of preventive health in Nabeul Omar Sellimi said 52 new infections with the coronavirus have been detected in the region, after the results of 260 tests were released, a rate of positivity of more than 20%.

Thus, the number of COVID-19 cases has risen to 69716, since the spread of the pandemic, including 64,715 recoveries in the governorate of Nabeul where 3422 people still carry the virus, said the same source.
