The governorate of Monastir saw two coronavirus-related fatalities in the last 24 hours, taking overall fatalities in the region to 1036 since the spread of the pandemic.

Moreover, 530 COVID-19 cases were detected, bringing total infection cases in the region to 52037, since the spread of the pandemic, the local health directorate said Friday.

The region currently has 11,122 patients with the virus, including 79 admitted to public hospitals and private clinics in the governorate, according to the same source.
