An 83-year-old woman from El Fahs (Zaghouan Governorate) died on Monday from the effects of the Coronavirus, bringing to 188 the total number of deaths due to the pandemic in the region, Regional Deputy Director of Basic Health, Nabil Ouerfelli, told TAP.
Similarly, 76 more cases of infection by the virus have been detected following the publication of 182 laboratory tests, which brings to 5,626 the number of positive cases in the region since the outbreak, he said.
According to the same source, the rate of positive tests remains “very high (67%) and marks an unprecedented record in the region since the spread of the pandemic”.
