One person has died of coronavirus in the governorate of Sidi Bouzid over the past 24 hours. This takes the death toll from the pandemic to 894, Local Deputy Director of Primary Health Béchir Saidi told TAP on Monday.

16 more infections have also been detected in the region, where the number of COVID-19 cases has reached 29,449 since the outbreak of the pandemic.

The new positive cases have been reported in Mezzouna (4), Menzel Bouzaiene (5), Meknassi (1) and Sidi Ali Ben Aoun (6).

22 patients recovered, taking overall recovery numbers in Sidi Bouzid to 28,833, the same source added.
