Quepos: Costa Rican authorities reported that a couple discovered deceased on a property near Quepos had been identified as a 60-year-old German man and a 57-year-old Austrian woman, both suffering from gunshot wounds.
According to Ghana News Agency, the bodies were found buried on a finca near the Pacific coast and underwent an autopsy. The examination confirmed that the woman had three gunshot wounds while the man had one. However, police have yet to determine if these wounds were the direct cause of death. The Judicial Investigation Department (OIJ) provided these details on Thursday.
The police were alerted following a robbery report filed late Monday. OIJ Director Randall Zº±iga stated that graves were uncovered the next day with assistance from a sniffer dog. Both victims had their hands bound, and traces of blood were discovered inside the house. Investigators suspect that the couple was murdered during a robbery.
