COVID-19: 17 deaths and 170 more infections in Nabeul

The governorate of Nabeul has recorded, during the last 48 hours, 17 deaths linked to COVID-19, including 8 cases , Sunday, bringing to 860 the total number of people who have fallen victim to this virus, since the pandemic appeared in the region.

In a statement to TAP, Director of Preventive Health at the Regional Health Directorate of Nabeul, Omar Slimi said that 170 new infections have been recorded out of a total of 560 tests, a positivity rate of 31%.

According to him, the occupation rate of resuscitation beds has reached 120% in the public sector and 93% in the private sector, while the occupation rate of oxygen beds is 85% in the public sector and 118% in the private sector.

He added that the total number of infections has reached 28,356 cases since the outbreak of the pandemic in the region.
