Another 172 coronavirus deaths were reported on July 30 till midnight, including 40 occuring the same day, the Health Ministry said on Sunday. Fatality numbers surged to 19, 858 since the pandemic started.

The caseload soared to 592,881 after 3, 316 positive cases were logged from 13,837 tests. The positivity rate stands at 23.96%.

A further 2,933 recoveries were also reported, taking the overall number to 513, 629.
