COVID-19: 32 thousand 282 people aged over 75 years administred third dose of vaccine

The number of people over 75 years who were administered the third dose of anti-COVID-19 since the launch of the campaign on October 26 until Friday is about 32 thousand 282 people, according to the latest statistics reported on the Evax platform.

In a statement to TAP, Ines Ayedi member of the committee of vaccination against the coronavirus said Friday that the Ministry of Health will begin from tomorrow the administration of the 3rd dose to people aged between 60 and 75 years.

The Ministry of Health has authorised the administration of the Pfizer vaccine for the 3rd dose given its effectiveness, according to the proposal of the scientific committee to fight against the coronavirus, the same source added.

This 3rd dose is administered to the subjects most vulnerable to the danger of the coronavirus after nearly 5 months of the other two doses of the anti-COVID-19 vaccine, Ayedi said.
