Covid-19: 3,841 New Cases, Over 14.3 Million Fully Vaccinated People

The number of people who got the first shot is 18,226,896 while that of fully vaccinated people (1st and 2nd doses) stands at 14,364,557, the ministry said in its daily report on the Covid-19 epidemiological situation.

The new figure brings to 853,373 the total number of contaminations since the first case reported in Morocco in March 2020. The number of people who have recovered rose to 780,434, i.e. a recovery rate of 91.5%.

The new contaminations were identified in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (1.001), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (631), Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (570), the eastern region (324), Beni Mellal-Khénifra (295), Marrakech-Safi (239), Fez-Meknès (215), Souss-Massa (204), Guelmim-Oued Noun (141), Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (115), Drâa-Tafilalet (66) and Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (40).

As for deaths, their total number rose to 12,437 (fatality rate of 1.5%), with 76 new cases recorded in the eastern region (13), Casablanca-Settat (12) Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (11), Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (11), Beni Mellal-Khénifra (11), Souss-Massa (6), Fez-Meknès (5), Marrakech-Safi (2), Guelmim-Oued Noun (2), Drâa-Tafilalet (2) and Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (1).

The number of active cases is 60,502, while severe or critical cases reached 2,484, of which 61 are placed under intubation.
