11 COVID-19 fatalities were reported in Sfax governorate in the past 24 hours, taking the death count in the region to 1,340, the Local Health Directorate said Friday.

389 infections were further logged from 1,270 conducted tests (30.6% incidence rate), pushing the caseload to 46,166.

Among those infected, 224 are currently hospitalised in Sfax’s public hospitals, including 31 in intensive care, and 73 in private health facilities.

Recoveries also rose by 362, hitting 41,000.
