Monastir governorate saw 4 more infections with the coronavirus during the last 48 hours, according to a new report published by the Local Health Directorate on Friday.

The case tally in Monastir is therefore up to 39,961, including 38,654 recoveries and 303 active carriers, according to the same source.

There are 22 patients currently admitted to hospitals in the governorate, where the incidence rate has dropped to 21 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

On the other hand, 279,847 coronavirus vaccine doses were administered in Monastir since the start of the jab drive in mid-March.
