COVID-19: Infections up in Kef

The Local Education Directorate in the Kef governorate decided on Saturday to temporarily shut down 3 primary schools in the Tajerouine delegation and a classroom at the Ibn Jazzar high school in the Nebeur delegation.
This decision was made following the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic and the identification of several infection cases among pupils and education staff.
In this regard, the Tajerouine secondary education union decided to stop classess on April 3 in thee delegation’s middle and high schools.
47 infections were reported from 146 conducted screening tests in the governorate, according to the latest data released by the Local Health Directorate.
The region has so far recorded 5,638 infections, including 5,241 recoveries and 180 fatalities.
53 COVID-19 patients are currently hospitalised in the governorate, 15 of whom are in intensive care units.
