COVID-19: Medenine reports 3 more deaths and 23 infections

Three more COVID-19 deaths were logged during the past 24 hours in Medenine, taking the death count in the region to 1,133.

23 infections were also reported from 678 tests, pushing the caseload to 32,399.

The epidemiological situation is improving, notably due to the drop recorded in the number of infections and deaths and in the occupancy rate of oxygen beds, local preventive health director Zeid Al Anz said.

This improvement in the pandemic situation and the smooth running of the vaccination campaign requires continued compliance with health protocols to prevent the danger of any new COVID-19 strain, he indicated.
