The governorate of Monastir logged 8 more COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, according to an updated report released by the local health directorate Wednesday.

This takes to 40,062 the number of overall cases in the region, since the spread of the pandemic, including 38,989 recoveries and 1007 deaths.

According to the same source, 17 COVID patients are currently admitted to different public and private health facilities in the governorate.
