The number of people who registered on Evax.tn platform to book COVID-19 vaccination appointments reached 5, 195,043 until August 16, including 1, 842, 302 who are fully vaccinated, the Health Ministry said Tuesday.

The fully vaccinated population is as follows: 1,283,513 received two doses, while 288, 079 got one shot as the J&J/Janssen vaccine requires a single dose and 270,710 contracted the virus and thus needed only one shot.

Consequently, out of a total of 4,690,354 vaccine doses administered so far, there are 3,406,841 first shots and 1, 283,513 boosters.

Out of 82,734 people called to vaccinate on August 16, figures also show, 28,632 attended their appointments.
