Only 27,293 people honoured their vaccination appointments on October 20 out of 97,362 who received text message invites, the Health Ministry data show.

4,262,137 people have been fully vaccinated so far, including 3,330,641 who got two shots, 416,860 received one dose as the J&J/Janssen vaccine requires a single dose and a further 514,636 had one jab as they had previously contracted the virus.

The total number of administered vaccines stood at 8,775,582 (5,444,941 first shots and 3,330,641 second doses) on October 20.

The number of people registered on Evax.tn hit 6,573,914 on this date.
