Some 4,048,705 Tunisians have been administered the coronavirus vaccine until Saturday, October 9, 2021, announced Sunday the Ministry of Health.

The ministry explains in its daily report on the vaccination situation in the country that 317,5107 people have received two doses of vaccine, 372,780 have received a single-dose vaccine and 500,818 have already been infected by the coronavirus.

Out of 144,469 people called on Saturday, only 48,378 showed up and were vaccinated.

The Ministry of Health reiterates its call to all citizens to register on the Evax system to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

New national vaccination days started on Sunday, October 10 and will continue until Monday, October 18. They are open to the age category 18 years and over, with the possibility to choose the vaccine among those available: Sinovac, Pfizer, Johnson and Johnson, Sputnik and AstraZeneca for 40 years and over.

These days are open to registrants and non-registrants to receive the first dose, and to those who missed the appointment for the second dose.

Nearly 100 centres have been set aside for this purpose throughout the country, and are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
