82,980 text message invites had been sent on October 5, but only 30,561 people honoured their jab appointments, the Health Ministry said.

56,279 people were invited to get their first shots, but only 14,161 people got inoculated, and 26,701 people were invited to get their boosters and only 16,400 received their shots.

8,281,311 COVID-19 vaccine jabs have been administered so far, including 5,172,620 first shots and 3,108,691 boosters, the ministry added.

The number of the fully vaccinated people have so far reached 3,956,254 and is as follows: 3,108,691 get two shots, 357,738 got one shot as the J&J/Janssen vaccine requires a single dose and a further 489,825 had one jab as they had been infected before.

The number of people registered on Evax.tn platform reached 6,402,941 on this date.
