Ten died of the coronavirus in the last 24 hours in Sfax governorate, where the pandemic has caused 1,987 fatalities in total, according to a report published by the Local Health Directorate on Tuesday.

Another 514 people have contracted the virus, out of 1,168 tested, or a 44% positivity rate. This takes the caseload in the region to 77,047, including 69,048 recoveries.

There are currently 19 patients placed in intensive care, 125 admitted to the Hédi Chaker hospital in Sfax and 48 others are receiving treatment in private health facilities in the governorate.
