Eleven died of the coronavirus during the last 24 hours in Sfax governorate, pushing the death toll in the region to 2,000, according to a report published by the Local Health Directorate on Thursday.

Another 285 infections were recorded, out of 694 tests carried out, or a 41.06% positivity rate. This takes the caseload in Sfax to 77,709, including 69,863 recevories.

There are currently 19 patients placed in intensive care, 162 admitted to the Hédi Chaker Hospital in Sfax and 51 receiving treatment in private health facilities.
