Five people died of the coronavirus in Siliana in the last 24 hours, while 209 other people tested positive for the virus, among 475 tested.

The region saw four infections with the Delta variant, of whom two are aged 3 and 11, local health director Adel Haddadi told TAP on Friday.

The capacity of the Siliana hospital has reached 100% in intensive care and 103% in oxygen departments, while local hospitals are 95% full.

Haddadi said 45 oxygen units will soon be directed to to the Siliana hospital.
