The COVID-19 jab drive for people aged over 60 kicked off on Sunday in 6 vaccination centres across the Kasserine governorate.
1,000 doses are expected to be administered in the Laayoun, Jedliane, Sbiba, Hydra, Hassi el Frid and Majel Bel Abbes centres, Local Health Director in Sfax Abdelghani Chaabani told TAP.
34,000 COVID-19 vaccines (13,000 first shots and 21,000 second shots) have already been administered since the start of the national jab drive, he specified.
12,810 infections have so far been reported in the region since the outbreak of the pandemic in Tunisia on March 2020.
