The governorate of Tataouine recorded 34 more coronavirus infections over the past 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 4,820 since the outbreak of the virus in the region.
The new cases have been reported in the following areas: 12 cases in North-Tataouine, 7 cases in Remada, 7 cases in Ghomrassen, 5 cases in South Tataouine, and 3 cases in Bir Lahmar.
No deaths have been reported over the last 48 hours in the region where the death toll totalled 256, said the local health directorate.
Six COVID patients are currently staying in the Local Hospital of Tataouine and another one in the Local Hospital of Remada.
