CTAF: Tunisia presents regional project on money laundering from crimes, human trafficking and migrant smuggling

Tunisia on Wednesday presented the main results of the regional project “Money laundering from crimes, human trafficking and migrant smuggling to the Middle East and North Africa,” conducted in collaboration between Tunisia and Egypt, the Tunisian Financial Analysis Committee (CTAF) said in a statement on Wednesday.
The CTAF took part on behalf of Tunisia, May 30-June 1, in the activities of the 37th meeting of the Mutual Evaluation Working Group held on the fringes of the 32nd General Assembly of the Middle East and North Africa Financial Action Task Force (MENAFATF).
A large number of anti-money laundering and terrorism financing experts from 21 Arab countries in the Middle East and North Africa participated in this meeting, in addition to representatives of the Financial Action Task Force, the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the World Bank (WB), the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime and of observer countries (France, Australia, United States of America, United United, Spain and Germany).
During this meeting, the participants discussed the mutual evaluation report of a MENA country, in which Tunisia participated, as part of the second round of the MENAFATF joint evaluation process.
