Curtain comes down on Arab Radio and TV Festival in Hammamet

The Tunisian Television Corporation’s Al Quds, a Tale of Resistance took the top prize at the 18th Arab Radio and TV Festival’s documentary contest . The second prize went to the Palestinian Broadcasting Corporation’s “Al Quds Secrets.”

Maghreb Gate, the documentary of Diwan FM radio station (Sfax) on the Palestinian cause, won the first prize in its category as the curtain came down on the festival on Friday evening in Hammamet.

Hikayet (Stories), produced by the Kuwaiti Ministry of Information, won the big soap opera prize, while the second prize went to Jordan’s “Determination.”

The best news story prize went to the Ir aqi news network, while the Palestinian Broadcasting Corporation got the second prize.

The festival also saw the top and second prizes of debate programmes go to Qatar and the UAE. Algeria took #1 prize in awareness-raising spots and Kuwait won the second prize.

The top children’s programme prizes similarly went to Algeria and Kuwait.
